Terms of service
These are the terms between you and Fóir. They are meant to be readable, and where a clause matters we have said why it is there.
What we provide
A hosted platform for modelling, storing and serving content and application data, with an admin interface, an API, and the surrounding services described on this site.
We provide it as it is described, not as it might be described in future. Where something on this site is marked as coming, treat it as coming rather than as part of what you are buying today.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do and what any agent you connect does with a key you issued.
Keep your credentials and API keys to yourself. If you think a key has leaked, rotate it; you can do that yourself at any time.
Your content
Your content stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it, and we do not use it to train models.
We need a limited licence to host, process and serve it, because that is what running the service consists of. That licence exists for no other purpose and ends when the content does.
You are responsible for having the right to store what you store, and for it being lawful.
What you may not do
Use the platform to break the law, to host material you have no right to, or to attack anyone, including us.
Attempt to reach another workspace's data, work around the limits of your plan, or resell raw platform capacity as though it were your own infrastructure. Building a product for your own customers on top of Fóir is exactly what it is for and is not what this clause is about.
Plans, payment and limits
Plans and what they include are set out on the pricing page. Paid plans bill in advance for the period shown, and prices exclude VAT.
Where a plan carries an allowance, going past what is included is charged at the rate on the pricing page where the pricing page shows one, up to the ceiling shown there. Where it shows no rate, the allowance is the ceiling. Nothing is switched off without warning.
We may change prices. If we do, we will tell existing customers before it affects them and you can leave rather than accept it.
Availability
We work to keep the platform available and we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment; if you need one, talk to us rather than assume it.
We take backups and test that they restore. That is not a substitute for your own export, which you can take at any time.
Ending it
You can stop using Fóir whenever you like and close your account from the admin. Take your export first.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other customers at risk, or that has not paid. Except where something is seriously wrong, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
After closure we keep your data for a short grace period so an accident can be undone, then remove it.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for things that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland and its courts have jurisdiction.
